Never use to have to do that to play their games. In the last year, out of the blue, I've had to reinstall their Launcher simply for not working, almost every other time I try to play a game of theirs. I don't have any new suggestions - but I'm here encouraging you to fight the good fight!!Īnd commiserate on how shitty Rockstar as a company, period, has become - and not just their CS.

If they dont know how to do that, ask them to upscale the ticket to some trained monkey who knows more than ABC 123.

What they should have been telling you - is that your steam account gives a unique login ID, which needs to be linked to your old rockstar account. You mention 1 thing, they give you a script. The first line support tends to be expedited to some uneducated folks from india who just follow a script with keywords. This post is mainly to vent and share the atrocious (and somewhat comical) "support" I have received, but if any of you guys have any idea on how I can get Rockstar Support to start to be useful, if you have any ideas on how to fix their crap or in general anything that can help me out, feel free to throw your ideas out!Did you ask ChatGPT what to do? lol surprised they did not tell you that This post is mainly to vent and share the atrocious (and somewhat comical) "support" I have received, but if any of you guys have any idea on how I can get Rockstar Support to start to be useful, if you have any ideas on how to fix their crap or in general anything that can help me out, feel free to throw your ideas out!
#Can i refund games from rockstar launcher code#
Not one of their suggestions has made much sense to me, and them telling me to format my disk, delete steam, create a new windows user etc just to cover for their spaghetti code launcher is just embarrassing. I am at this point just imagining them trolling me for some reason. They have so far suggested Deleting GTAV (?), told me I can't get a refund (Didn't ask), Launch GTAV from Steam (What.), Synchronize my windows time, move my installation folder (It isn't installed), uninstall Red Dead Online (Don't have it), close background processes, format my harddisk, uninstall RDR2 (Must be trolling at this point), temporarily rename my steam folder (doesn't help), delete steam (Yeah, i'm gonna delete the gaming hub that actually lets me run games) and last but not least, create a new windows user that only has Rockstar Launcher installed. I log onto the Launcher, and it says "Go to Steam" where I am directed to Steam (where I don't own it) - I can't do anything to change it.Īnywho, I wrote to them on the 12th of March, and they have still done nothing to help me. A couple of years later I want to re-visit the game. I installed the game, then completed it and uninstalled.

Backstory I have Red Dead Redemption 2 for Rockstar Launcher (Rookie mistake, get steam).
